On Thursday the 14th of September we went
to San Antonio’s City Hall, because the major invited us. He is really friendly
and it is cool to know that he went to Trinity.
It was pretty nice, sitting in the city
Hall especially when I think of how the city hall in Germany
looks.
looks.
The most striking thing for me was a Video
that was shown. It showed poor people who are in need of public transportation.
This minority of people are turning in to a majority. They wake up early in because
they cannot have cars since they are too expensive and they are being paid
less. I could never imagine the city I live in, which is Hamburg without public
transportation. People could not go anywhere it would be horrible. I always
hate when my Bus is a few minutes late, but now I know that I should be glad
that my bus comes at least every ten minutes! I feel so sorry for all the
people and I hope that going to work is going to be easier in the future!
“Transportation is the center of the world!
It is the glue of our daily lives. When it goes well, we do not see it. When it
goes wrong, it negatively colors our day, makes us feel angry and impotent
curtails our possibilities.” – Robin Chase
